WHAT ARE POPPED LOTUS SEEDS?
POPPED LOTUS SEEDS are considered a superfood across the Eastern part of the world. A popular, all-natural food derived from the root of the lotus flower, the lotus seed is a key ingredient in many Eastern diets. In fact, it has been for centuries. Low in calories and 100% natural, the seeds are a must-have for many!

1. THE PLANT
So, to be honest with you, the lotus flower is pretty much an all round awesome plant. It grows its seeds sustainably in ponds, does not require any additional water and produces seeds on a yearly basis. Yup, it's pretty much sustainable af.
Our super seeds come from Bihar, India where our local farmers pick these bad boys by hand during the harvest season. They are then left in the sun to dry out as they spend their infancy underwater. (Kind of like aqua man before he went on land and became well, just a man-man…)
The seeds are then heated in pans until toasty and unlike popcorn, (which you wont ever need to eat again), have to be hit with a mallet so that the white puff-like edible part pops out.
We then turn up the heat and let the seeds roast with a combination of our taste Guru's delicious, high quality and 100% natural ingredients. Nothing artificial is added. Well, except the heat. We're still working on that part!
After cooling down from this popping party, the seeds are placed straight into our packets. Our manufacturing process is kept to a minimum, meaning our products are kept as natural as possible and are literally “from plant to packet”.
